When it comes to the Jacobs screens for the Andritz hammermill and the Dupps Grindor’s, the screens from Jacob’s were always more convenient to get and lasted longer the only time we would have to change them was when stainless went through the Grindor or Hammermill. Getting screens by the pallet is far more convenient than ordering by each.
“Very pleased with Bad Ax Hammers. Mill has less vibration, first corner 250 to 260 hours, 2nd corner at 180-190 and still going”
“We recently switched to Pentagon Hammers; the installer said the hammers went on so smooth, they thought something was wrong. Took 20 minutes to install 120 hammers. After a week, the hammers were inspected and there were a few sticking out. Touched them and they fell down. In the next two inspections, all hammers were down.”
“20 hours on them. INCREDIBLE how they perform. Made a whole new beast of a grinder for me!! My customers LOVE it. I can grind 30 percent more hay in the same time.”
After running the Dupps Grindor’s for several months changing the Dupps hammers every 2 days, we ran a trial on the Jacob’s Hammers for the Dupps Grinder and found that we were able to get 5 days of life. We run strictly all beef and bones straight from slaughterhouses.
“Dale said the Lightning Die he has on mill #2 has 600 hours on it and is still the best running mill!”
“We love your Hammers! They are more durable than the competitors, and that’s why we’re now using Jacobs Rod!”
“The Triple Threat Hammers have been working exceptionally well on our Jones Mill. I have been very impressed. We weren’t getting the hours from [Competitor], and they were only lasting about 2 months. Jacobs has been running for 4 months and is still running for less money.”
“Both mills running Pentagons. Last sets ran for about 11 months, pushing 13,000 to 14,000 ton per week. 572,000 tons of life on hammers!”
“Our pelleting process had some inefficiencies, we were seeing rather poor performance from our process and short lifespans from our dies and rolls. . With Jacobs we built a new protocol for our process, from our feed temps, all the way through roll setups. We have been running for several months now and our pelleting production numbers are fantastic, some of our products we increased our performance by over 50%, that translates to multiple tons per week in increased efficiency. We did see an increase in all of our TPH across the board. “
